Český Těšín: Polish school celebrates 100th anniversary. Great celebration at the "Strzelnica” Cultural Center
The Polish Elementary School in Český Těšín is celebrating one hundred years of existence this school year. One of the events included in the anniversary celebration was Thursday's ceremony held at the "Strzelnica” Cultural Center. Invited to it were the people thanks to whom this school continues to operate up to this day and does well indeed.

Rich Christmas for the poor
The end of November and almost all of December is the period when the topic of Christmas gifts and generosity is on the agenda. We think about gifts for family members, relatives, sometimes friends and neighbors, as well as colleagues at work. However, more and more people are choosing to anonymously bring joy to people unknown to them as well, especially children, who have no one and no way for them to receive gifts.

Fifty teams made up of high school students sent their projects to this year's fifth edition of the "Give a Heart” initiative, announced by Výbor Dobré Vůle – the Olga Havlová Foundation. Among the eleven a project by students of the J. Słowacki Polish Middle School in Český Těšín turned out to be the best.

Field hockey club HC Stalovnik Třinec reports reinforcements in the defensive line. Slovak defenseman Patrik Koch, who returns to the Czech premier league from the Canadian-American AHL, has signed a contract with the RC champion.
